Olive oil: 1 tbsp
Salt and pepper to taste
Broth or water : 1/4 cup
Yellow onion: 1 medium size
Ground beef: 1.5 pounds, 670 g
Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
Worcestershire sauce: 1 tsp
Sugar free BBQ sauce: 2/3 cup
Shredded Cheese : 2 cups
Minced parsley for garnish
🕰️Timestamps & Instructions 👩🍳
0:00 Heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium high heat and add the cauliflower florets, season with salt and pepper and cook stirring frequently for 2-3 minutes until they start to brown a bit. Then pour in the broth or water, put the lid on and continue cooking for 3-5 minutes, until the florets are fork tender. Then remove from the pan and set them aside.
2:32 lower the heat to medium and add the ground beef. Spread out the beef and let it cook undisturbed for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and cook breaking it up until no longer pink. Drain the excess fat, leaving some for the onions.
3:30 Add the onions and minced garlic. Cook until softened, for about 5 minutes or so, then stir in Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce and a cup of cheese. Stir everything together until the cheese is melted and blended. Return the cauliflower to the pan and mix well. Spread everything evenly, press a bit to settle and top with the second cup of cheese.
6:07 Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven at 400°F/200°C for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for a minute or two to get a golden top.
6:30 Garnish with minced parsley and serve warm.
