My GRANDMA'S UNIQUE lentil soup ❗️ A simple and delicious recipe ❗️
Today I'm sharing a precious family secret: my grandmother's unique lentil soup. This dish proves that healthy eating can be comforting and incredibly delicious.

Ingredients
Volume: 2-liter pot
Preparation time: approx. 35 minutes
Lentils – 190 g (approx. 1 jar)
Soak the lenses for 5 minutes, then rinse.
Onion – 1 large
Finely chop the onion.
olive oil
Bay leaf – 1
Cumin – ½ teaspoon
Garlic – 3–4 cloves
Add the chopped garlic.
Sweat it until it smells good.
Add the onion.
Fry for about 2-3 minutes.
Carrot – 1
Finely sliced
Add the carrot.
Green chili pepper – 1–2 pieces or to taste
Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
Add the chili pepper.
Cook all ingredients together for about 2-3 minutes.
Add the lentils to the vegetables.
Turmeric – ½ teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Roast the lentils with the vegetables for 1 minute.
Water – 1 liter (approx. 4 glasses)
Stir well.
Cover the pot and bring to a boil.
Simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
Pepper mix – 8–12 peppercorns
Cardamom – 1 capsule
Cinnamon – ½ stick
Crush pepper, cardamom and cinnamon in a mortar.
Remove the cardamom residue.
A bunch of fresh parsley or coriander
Remove the bay leaf.
Add the finely chopped parsley or coriander.
Heat for 1-2 minutes.
Lemon juice – from ½ a lemon
Garnish with fresh herbs and a slice of lemon.
Taste and season with salt and black pepper if necessary.
